Authorities say a truck driver was found dead in his truck on the Union Pacific Railroad tracks west of Highway 30 and Highway 11.
At 6:25 a.m. Friday, Hall County Sheriff’s deputies responded after a truck was reported stopped on the tracks. When the deputies arrived it was determined that the 2012 Mack dump truck pulling a pup trailer was eastbound on Highway 30. The driver apparently had a medical issue that caused him to leave the roadway and come to rest on the railroad tracks.
The driver of the truck, Gary Rouse, 64, from Gibbon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
