Skydiver's parachute drifts into Holdrege electrical lines
HOLDREGE, Neb. —
A skydiver's parachute drifted into power lines, and according to Skydive Atlas, a Nebraska Skydiving School with operations in Holdrege, the incident was "not a big deal."
The Holdrege city electrical department said it happened last Thursday around 4:30 in the afternoon, to the west of the Brewster Field airport and skydiving office.
They said it caused a portion of the city to be without power for about an hour and a half. The city said the sky diving company will be responsible for line repairs.
At the time of broadcasting, Atlas Skydiving refused an on–camera interview but said they follow all safety protocols. Both the company and city said no one was injured in the incident.
