Federal court takes up historic Fentanyl case
The case against two men accused of carrying enough fentanyl to kill hundreds of thousands of people will be heard federally.
Tuesday, Buffalo County Attorney Micheal Mefferd filed a motion with the county court to dismiss the case against Nelson Nunez and Felipe Genao-Minaya.
The case has been opened up on the federal level for both men.
Federal records say the two men were attempting to distribute over 400 grams of the highly lethal drug fentanyl.
About .002 to .003 grams of the drug is enough to become lethal.
No court date has been set for either Nunez or Genao-Minaya.
