The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Flash Flood Warning for East central Nance county until 9:30am. At 3:35, officials from the Loup Power District reported that that Loup River had overtopped an intake structure at the diversion southwest of Genoa. Flooding is expected to extend north of Highway 22 and may be threatening the south side of Genoa soon. Law enforcement says that an evacuation plan has been enacted for the south portion of Genoa. This is a dangerous situation and residents are encouraged to seek higher ground immediately.
