Flooding Sweeps Away Two Cars and Leaves One Person Missing in Kansas


    Two cars have been swept away and one person is now missing in Kansas.

    The Norton County Sheriffs Department says floodwaters swept away one car off Highway K-9 near Edmond, Kansas, where two occupants were found clinging to a tree.

    Another car east of Leonora, Kansas also was washed away. The sheriff's department was able to make contact with the driver via the phone until the connection was dropped.

    Officers say when they finally found the car the owner was not inside.

    The search for the missing driver continues.
