Hastings health professional charged with health care fraud


    A Hastings health professional is accused of committing health care fraud against a Nebraska program.

    60-year-old Randy J. Kirby is charged in a nine count indictment with Healthcare Fraud on or about September 2, 2013 and continuing until on or about September 22, 2016.

    The Indictment alleges fraud against the Nebraska Medical Assistant Program causing losses of $133,639.57.

    The maximum possible penalty if convicted is 10 years imprisonment for each count, a $250,000 fine for each count, a 3 year term of supervised release for each count, and a $100 special assessment for each count.
