Hastings Police Chief finalists announced

The names of the four men who could be the next Hastings Police chief have been released.

The City of Hastings has narrowed down the list of candidates to Adam Story, Jason Ott, Glen Still and Stephen Monticelli.

One of these four will be replacing Chief Pete Kortum once he retires in December.

Story has been with the Hastings Police Department since 1998. He has been a captain the last 10 years.

As for the others, Still is a lieutenant with the Fremont police, Ott is currently a Liberal, Kan., police captain and Monticelli is currently the chief of police in Harrisonburg, Va.

The current Chief of Police Pete Kortum has been with the department since 2012.

He previously served as captain with the Grand Island Police Department.
