For those fans who didn't make it to Lincoln for the game, many of them still watched from Fanatics Sports Bar in Kearney.

NTV News spoke with a few fans to see what they had to say about the Huskers first big win of the season and the Scott Frost era.

"I feel very excited and I'm really thrilled because the Husker fans have been behind Scott Frost and the whole team since day one. They kept persevering and it's finally paid off," said one Husker fan Angelica Young.

"I thought they played good. You could feel it coming for a couple of weeks now. It was time for a breakthrough. I thought they were going to beat Northwestern but they didn't. It happened finally," said another Husker fan Jeff Cooper.

"It's been great. I am thrilled for the Nebraska team. It seems like forever coming in the season but you know I saw improvement every week and both offensively and defensively. It has come around. I am really happy for Scott Frost. He is our man no question," said Michael Carper, a Husker fan.
