LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Huskers have added another football game after the team's season opener was cancelled due to the weather.
The Huskers announced on Twitter that they will play Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 27 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
That had been the team's lone bye week.
The game against the Wildcats takes the place of the one-cancelled game against Akron at the start of the season.
When it comes to tickets, the school said season ticket holders will get new tickets for the Bethune-Cookman contest.
NU also said individual ticket holders for the Akron game will also receive new tickets for the Bethune-Cookman game, but no refunds or exchanges will be available.
Also as part of the deal to get the Huskers a 12th game, Nebraska will pay the Daytona Beach, Florida based university $800,000 to play.
