Lincoln police looking for bank robbery suspects

The Lincoln Police Department is looking for two people who they believe were involved in an armed robbery in Lincoln on Friday morning.

Police responded to the Union bank at 5006 N. 27th Street at 8:45 a.m. after getting reports that two men with handguns were demanding money.

The first man is described as approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 180-200lbs, wearing a black mask and blue hooded sweatshirt.

The second man is described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150lbs, wearing a "skin colored mask" and orange and red hooded sweatshirt.

Police said the men left in a blue older-style sedan with an undisclosed amount of money. The vehicle was located a short time later behind Cici's Pizza. The vehicle was unoccupied and investigators are working to determine if it was stolen.

Reports say there was one customer and five employees inside the bank at the time of the robbery and there were no injuries and no reports of verbal threats made.
