Local vendors support domestic violence survivors
Local vendors in Grand Island gathered on Saturday to support the Crisis Center, an organization that helps to end domestic violence and help sexual assault victims.
Many people stopped by the parking lot in front of Tractor Supply Company to purchase some home-crafted goods.
Vendors like Pampered Chef, Great Plains Honey, Scentsy, Lu La Roe, and Posh were outside in the heat welcoming shoppers.
The event was hosted by Trunks and Treasures, an organization that was started in September 2015.
"Each month no matter where we're at, we always do a fundraiser for a local charity or an individual that is needing some help. We just like to pay the community back for helping us and coming out and support the vendors because we have wonderful vendors," said Christine Sharp, Trunks and Treasures Coordinator.
Christine said they have helped one family by donating $500 from fundraisers like this one.
