Man hospitalized in Hastings after machete attack
HASTINGS, Neb. —
One person was hospitalized in Hastings after police said he was attacked with a machete.
The Hastings Police Department responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of S. Baltimore at around 11 p.m.
Police said two man were in a fight over one man's girlfriend, when one man pulled out a machete and assaulted the other man.
The victim received serious injuries including lacerations from the attack.
He was transported to Mary Lanning Healthcare in unknown condition, but police said he survived the attack.
David Wilsey, 63, was arrested on charges of second degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Police are withholding names at this time.
