Man in North Platte armed robberies sentenced to prison
A 27-year-old man will serve time in prison for two armed robberies in North Platte.
Police arrested Cory Tabbee on April 5 after a Kwik Stop and Penny's Diner were both robbed within 30 minutes of each other on April 2.
Police said Tabbee had a large knife in both robberies when he took cash and fled.
He was sentenced to three years in prison with credit for 150 days served, but he will be eligible for parole after 18 months.
According to court documents, Tabbee pleaded guilty to only one felony robbery charge in exchange for having the other dropped.
