Omaha man arrested after pursuit in Merrick County
CENTRAL CITY, Neb. —
A man wanted on warrants in two counties is behind bars after a pursuit on Saturday.
Merrick County Sheriff's Deputies said they tried to stop a white 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser at Highway 30 and 14th Road near Central City during the early morning hours on Saturday.
Deputies said the driver, 35-year-old Corey Clinebell of Omaha, didn't stop and traveled throughout rural Merrick County, initiating a pursuit by deputies.
The suspect was taken into custody at Highway 30 and I Road near Chapman and transported to Merrick County Corrections.
Clinebell was arrested on Buffalo and Douglas County warrants as well as felony flight to avoid arrest, driving under suspension and fictitious plates.
Clinebell is being held at Merrick County Corrections without bond.
