Police: One man in custody after resisting warrant in Grand Island

    One man is in custody after a tactical response team was called out.

    Neighbors gathered outside to watch multiple police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks block the area near Eddy and John Street.

    Police tell NTV News that a 29 year old man - David Martin was arrested at 8 PM Friday evening.

    Officers went to serve an active warrant - for aiding theft -against the Martin. He wouldn't come out of the house.

    Police made several attempts to call him out.

    He refused so authorities sent in a chemical agent - pepper spray - and Martin eventually surrendered.

    There were no injuries.

    He now faces obstruction and aiding theft charges.
