Update: Police identify victim of Grand Island hit-and-run

Grand Island Police are asking for your help to find someone they say was involved in a deadly hit and run Monday.

Police said they got the report of a white man in his 30’s lying on the ground near Custer and Faidley Avenues around 4:30 a.m. Justin W. Foster, 28, of Arizona, was pronounced dead.

Faidley Avenue between Custer Avenue and Howard Street was blocked off to traffic for several hours.

Police are asking the public to report any vehicles with damage to the front or under carriage. They said the suspected-vehicle was heading west on Faidley Avenue when the incident occurred.

G.I.P.D. said they're working with the Hall County Sheriff's Office to reconstruct the scene and looking for video from area businesses.

Police said Foster has been in Grand Island for a couple of months.

An autopsy has been ordered by the Hall County Attorney's Office, according to authorities.
