KEARNEY, Neb. -- A longstanding legacy of serving the public continues to benefit three chapters of a local service organization.
The Kearney Kiwanis clubs hosted their annual pancake feed on Saturday morning at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds. It's been happening since after World War II.
It's the biggest fundraiser of the year which benefits Dobytown, the Golden K and the Kearney Noon Kiwanis clubs.
Proceeds from the annual pancake feed help fund projects like back-to-school backpacks for students in the fall, to a dental program for students at a Kearney elementary school to helping fund playgrounds.
