AINSWORTH, Neb. — A plane that departed from the Ainsworth Regional Airport on Saturday morning never made it to its North Dakota destination.
After a search, the 10-seat plane was found crashed about five miles north of Ainsworth just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Department.
The only occupant of the plane - the pilot - didn't survive the crash.
The pilot's name has not been released pending notification of family.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
