NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — One man is in custody after a shooting on Sunday afternoon in North Platte.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said a man came into the emergency room at Great Plains Health with a gunshot wound at 3:51 p.m. The 42-year-old shooting victim was unable to give details about the shooting before being taken into emergency surgery. He was reported to be in stable condition.
The North Platte Police Department determined the shooting took place outside North Platte city limits, and the sheriff's office took over the investigation.
Deputies said they pinpointed the shooting to a trailer court at 4005 W 14th St. just outside of the city, where investigators arrested 35-year-old Isaac Brown on suspicion of first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests may follow.
