A Grand Island man’s chocolate craving landed him behind bars.

Grand Island Police said they responded to an alarm call Saturday afternoon at the Dairy Queen on Eddy Street, where officers said they found Joseph Lewandowski, 18, hiding with a bag of crushed Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Capt. Jim Duering said Lewandowski admitted to using a screwdriver he was found with to break into a freezer to steal the treat.

He was arrested for burglary and possession of burglary tools and remained in the Hall County Jail Monday.
