GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A man who was jailed on a burglary charge last week is now saying he was the victim of the same crime.
The Grand Island Police Department said Franklin Thompson, 37 was arrested on Wednesday after being accused of burglarizing a home in the 500 block on N. Broadwell.
Police said Thompson then reported that his residence was burglarized sometime between Wednesday and Saturday, when he was being held in jail.
Police say there were signs of forced entry to his garage door, and tools were reported stolen.
They say no arrests have been made so far.
