OSCEOLA, Neb. -- A man from Polk County was sentenced to prison on Wednesday for sexually abusing a relative between 2013 and 2017.
Pearson was sentenced to eight years in prison on three charges, but can be eligible for parole in one year. He received credit for 212 days served. He must also register as a sex offender and remain on their registry for 25 years.
According to Polk County court documents, James Pearson was found guilty of two counts of child abuse and attempted first-degree sexual assault on May 2.
Additional charges of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of child abuse, and incest were all dropped.
