A lock down at two Grand Island high schools is over, according to Grand Island Police.

NTV News received news that Grand Island Northwest and Grand Island Senior High were both placed on lock down around the noon hour on Tuesday.

Police told NTV News that the schools received two threats. According to Captain Jim Duering, the schools were later in a "soft lock down", or the lock down has been lifted.

Duering said they are investigating, but wouldn't say what the threats were.
