Saturday is last chance to file 2016 taxes online

Saturday is the last day electronically file your 2016 tax returns.

This applies to taxpayers who filed for a six-month extension or live in a federally declared disaster area.

Those who don't file by Saturday, Nov. 18 will have to file on paper.

The Internal Revenue Service's E-file system will shut down after midnight, so that the agency can perform its annual maintenance.

During this time, the IRS plans to reprogram its system for the upcoming tax season.
