Movie–goers in Hebron are now getting two opportunities to spend quality family time together.
The second cinema in the volunteer–run Majestic Theatre in Hebron opened up last Thursday, just in time for the Easter holiday.
Members of the Arts Council of Thayer County who run the theatre say that it's been a single cinema for the past three years with the hopes of opening up the second one.
Thanks to donations to purchase a second digital projector, that goal is now a reality.
"It is exciting but we have the support of the community that is helping us to be able to do that," said ACT board president Crystal Fangmeier. "I guess I feel like it's kind of been requested of us to get the other one opened up because it allows us to show a wider variety of movies here locally."
After this weekend's opening, the Majestic will start booking both theaters regularly every weekend starting in May.
REPORTER'S NOTES: The Majestic's cinema 2 also has a stage for theatrical performances. More information about showtimes and other activities can be found on Facebook and hebronmajestic.com
