Senator Curt Friesen announced Monday he will run for re-election in Nebraska’s 34th Legislative District.

Friesen currently serves on the Transportation and Telecommunications Committee and Revenue Committee.

“I’ve focused my efforts in the Legislature on property tax relief, growing the state’s economy and investing in Nebraska’s infrastructure,” said Friesen.

“We’ve provided property tax relief by growing the state property tax credit and expanding the personal property tax exemption which benefits agriculture and small businesses. However, property tax relief remains my top priority as a member of the Legislature; we have more work to do and I’ll continue that effort for as long as I serve in the Legislature.”

Friesen is a farmer in Hamilton County. He’s served on the boards of various agriculture groups before running for the state legislature.
