Teen accused of firing gun at Buffalo County Fair takes plea deal


A teenager accused of firing a gun at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds pleaded guilty to two felony charges and one misdemeanor charge.

Court records said the teen was found guilty of use of a firearm to commit a felony, terroristic threats, and unlawful possession of a handgun.

Officers said they arrested the 16-year-old from Kearney after they determined that he fired a shot during a dispute just off the midway portion of the fairgrounds during the Buffalo County Fair.

Court documents show that the teen was sentenced to two years and 183 days of supervised probation and ordered to pay costs and fines of $395.44.
