Tornado warnings across parts of central Nebraska

6:39 p.m. UPDATE: A tornado warning has been issued for eastern Webster County until 7 p.m. At 6:36 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Cowles, or 30 miles south of Hastings, moving east at 10 mph.

6:28 p.m. UPDATE: A tornado warning has been issued for northwestern Jewell County and northern Smith County in north central Kansas, and southeastern Franklin County and southern Webster County until 7 p.m. At 6:26 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Franklin, or 33 miles northeast of Phillipsburg, moving east at 35 mph. Another severe thunderstorm was over northern Smith County, north of Smith Center. This storm may also be capable of producing a tornado.

6:16 p.m. UPDATE: A tornado warning was issued for central Webster County until 6:45 p.m. At 6:15 p.m. a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles north of Inavale, or 29 miles south of Hastings, moving east at 10 mph. The storm will be at Red Cloud around 6:40 p.m. and Cowles around 6:45 p.m.

5:59 p.m. UPDATE: A tornado warning was issued for southern Franklin County and southeastern Harlan County until 6:30 p.m. At 5:53 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Republican City, or 22 miles southeast of Holdrege, moving east at 25 mph.

5:36 p.m. UPDATE: A tornado warning has been issued for eastern Harlan County until 6 p.m. At 5:29 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Huntley moving east at 20 mph.

ORIGINAL: A tornado warning was issued for northeastern Harlan, southwestern Phelps, southwestern Kearney and northwestern Franklin counties until 5:45 p.m. Radar indicated rotation near Wilcox is moving northeast at 15 mph. A funnel cloud was reported with this storm.
