Traffic slows on I-80 after three-vehicle crash near Grand Island

Emergency crews directed traffic on Interstate 80 near Grand Island as they responded to a three-vehicle crash on Friday.

The crash occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. near mile marker 308 in the eastbound lanes just before entering a construction zone.

At least three vehicles were involved, and the Grand Island Fire Department, the Nebraska State Patrol, and area ambulances were responding at around 5:45 p.m.

Information on the number of people involved in the crash and possible injuries wasn't immediately available.

Traffic is moving at a slow pace, and drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
