LINCOLN, Neb. — A two vehicle crash in Lincoln left one trooper injured late Friday evening.
Around 10:30 p.m., a Nebraska State Patrol trooper finished responding to another crash on westbound Interstate 80.
The trooper was then driving in the westbound lanes when a vehicle behind him lost control, spun out and hit the back of the trooper's cruiser.
The collision then forced the cruiser into a concrete barrier.
NSP said the trooper was transported to the Bryan West Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The trooper has since been treated and released.
The other driver was not seriously injured.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office issued a citation to the other driver involved.
NSP said the trooper's cruiser was totaled in the crash.
