Two dead following head-on collision near Elwood

GOSPER COUNTY, Neb. — Two people are dead following a head-on collision Thursday night near Elwood.

According to the Gosper County Sheriff's Office, just after 5 p.m. Thursday, deputies and Elwood Fire and Rescue responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 283 near mile marker 137. The two drivers, Aureliano Macias, 52, of North Platte, and Glen Wolf, 58, of Omaha, received medical assistance on scene, but succumbed to their injuries.
