KEARNEY, Neb. — Summer has arrived, and with it comes the start of the summer travel season. As Nebraskans hit the road, the Nebraska State Patrol is emphasizing the importance of safe driving practices for all motorists.
Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol, highlighted the significance of Memorial Day weekend as one of the busiest travel times of the year. He emphasized the dedication of troopers to ensuring the safety of Nebraska roads and urged travelers to plan ahead and exercise caution while sharing the road.
As part of their efforts, troopers will be actively patrolling the state as part of the annual Click It or Ticket campaign, which began on May 15 and continues until June 4.
AAA predicts that more than 37 million people will be embarking on road trips of at least 50 miles this Memorial Day weekend.
