AOW: Jack Rush of South Loup Football

Jack Rush practices passes to receivers.

South Loup quarterback Jack Rush has made some astonishing performances last Friday scoring seven touchdowns, and racking up over 256 yards on offense.

Pounding his way into the spotlight at NTV's Athlete of the week.

Putting the team on his back Rush finished the night throwing six touchdown passes, plus running one in himself.

The senior quarterback only needed seven completed passes to rack up over 100 yards through the air.

Then filling in the holes of his running backs, Rush led the team on the ground with 155 yards.

Leading the Bobcats to a dominating win over Revenna 56–6.

"It feels really good, footballs definitely my favorite sport," Rush said. "So anytime we can come out on top with a victory I'm just glad we're having a great season so far," Rush continued. "We played great as a team and I got to give credit to my teammates to allow me to accomplish what I did."

Already holding much responsibility and leadership, Rush is still never afraid to step up to new challenges helping the Bobcats move forward.

"Play calls are perfect, my teammates block it up exactly how it's suppose to be," Rush stated. "I'm blessed with teammates like them and we're lucky enough to be able to do that."

"He's definitely put in his work over the last four years so it's great to see him have this success on the field," head coach Andy Schwarz said. "Just dominate the way he is, it couldn't go to a better kid."

Thanks to Rush's astonishing performance the Bobcats remain perfect at 5-0. They're back in action this Friday facing Amherst.
