Morgan Jr. returns for his final season

Nebraska junior wide receiver Stanley Morgan Jr. prepares for the Huskers season opener versus Arkansas State, Sept. 2, 2017 (KHGI)

Nebraska football is getting its first bit of good news regarding players making an NFL decision, as three–year standout wide receiver Stanley Morgan Jr. is returning for his senior year.

Morgan led the Huskers with 61 receptions, 986 yards, and 10 touchdowns in his eleven games played in 2017.

The kid out of NOLA (New Orleans) had two games with two touchdowns in his junior season, a career high, bringing his total to 15 in the scarlet and cream. He has also surpassed the 100–career catch milestone, now 7th all–time with his 119 grabs and 6th on the school's career yardage leaders list at 1,743.

Morgan is 63 catches and 947 yards shy of setting two new school records, and 11 touchdowns from eclipsing the third major career mark for receivers at Nebraska. He already owns the Huskers single season yardage mark with his 2017 performance.

Tanner Lee and Nick Gates already declared for the 2018 NFL Draft earlier this off-season.
