Keyshawn Johnson, Jr. is leaving the University of Nebraska and is not a part of the team, first reported by Nate Clouse of and then confirmed by the Omaha World Herald.

His time in Lincoln is not necessarily done.

Clouse's report says Johnson needs to take a “leave of absence” and get some requirements taken care of, but Iif he does, he is welcome to return in 2018.

Johnson, an early enrollee, was cited for marijuana possession earlier in the month after campus police found 3.9 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a dorm room.

Nebraska football has not commented.
