The former Kearney Catholic All-Stater and Nebraska wide receiver transferring back home near the last minute possible this fall.
Holtmeier wearing #89 on game days, and while there's still a good amount for him to catch up on in terms of learning, expect him to see some snaps Thursday night.
"Blake has jumped right in and he's meeting with the coaches extra as far as learning the schemes, techniques and fundamentals of what we want him to do. He's still swimming a little bit as far as the terminology, but a very good athlete and I think he's going to help us down the road as we go. He'll play, it just kind of depends on how many snaps and where his comfort level is. But the kids a very good athlete. He's not afraid of it," said Josh Lamberson, UNK Head Coach.
Coach Lamberson says if Holtmeier was not in the Nebraska school system, his late transfer may not have been possible.
Holtmeier spending 3 season in Lincoln before coming back to Kearney.
