Katie Placke, Jill Bax, and Matt Buttermore were among the individual 2017 AVCA award winners from the West Central region.

Placke, a senior at Hastings College, is the Region Player of the Year, and a three–time all–region player for what she brings to the Broncos on the right side and during her time as a setter. Placke led the Broncos with 311 kills and 514 assists entering the NAIA National Tournament.

Bax, also playing in her final season, is the Region Libero of the Year for a second consecutive year, following her second straight GPAC Libero of the Year award earlier this month. Bax dug up 432 balls this year, or 30.2% of the team's 1,429 this season. This is also her second season as a member of the West Central honorees.

Matt Buttermore is the Region Coach of the Year after the Broncos went 25–2 on the way to winning the GPAC regular season and tournament championship. This was Buttermore's second straight West Central region honor in a row.

Junior Casey Krolikowski joined Placke and Bax on the all–region team for the first time in her career. Krolikowski went to the national tournament with 221 kills and 2.51 per set, both were second best behind Placke.
