Former Husker quarterback transferring to FAU

LINCOLN, Neb. — Former Nebraska quarterback Casey Thompson is transferring to Florida Atlantic University to join former Texas coach Tom Herman, according to multiple sources.

Thompson who transferred from Texas to Nebraska spent one season with big red and completed 63 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,407 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Thompson will have one year of eligibility left.
