Tri-City's losing streak was extended to 11 games as the Fargo Force eliminated the Storm, 3-0, Wednesday night in the Western Conference first round series.

Garrett Van Whye got Fargo on the board in the first period with an unassisted tally at the 5:36 mark, his first of the postseason. At the end of the first period, Fargo led the Storm 1-0 and outshot Tri-City 13-5.

Fargo was reeled in a little bit by the Tri-City defense in the second period with ten shots, but the Force got another one beyond Storm goalie Jack Barczewski at the 10:23 mark on Griffin Loughran's first of the playoffs. Loughran's goal was of the power play variety and Fargo's second of the series. The Storm were 5 for 6 on the penalty kill and went 0 of 4 on the power play.

The Force added a third in the third period when Carter Randklev notched his third in two nights while Jordan Seyfert also got his third assist of the series.

Barczewksi saved 30 of the 33 shots he faced but the Storm were unable to get one by Strauss Mann on their 20 shots on net.
