Tri–City hockey has the first goalie in franchise history to be named the USHL's Goaltender of the Year.

Filip Larrson starred in his 30 games by posting a league–best 1.65 goals against average and a .941 save percentage.

His rate of keeping shots out of the net was the best mark in USHL history, which dates back to 1979, and Larsson's goals against is the second best mark the league has ever seen.

If only Tri–City had seen more of him down the stretch, they may still be playing.

Larsson posted seven shutouts, or nearly 25 percent of the times he started the opposing team did not score, the fourth highest number ever recorded by a USHL netminder.
