Hartington Cedar Catholic knocks off Thayer Central in five

Hartington Cedar Catholic and Thayer Central needed five sets to decide the team who would advance to the C2 semifinal.

In the end, the Trojans of Cedar Catholic were best, 15-9, in the final frame (-18, -15, 23-25, 22-25, 15-9).

Jada cattau was the bread-winner for Hartington with 22 kills but they had four who were in double-digits.

The duo of Maddison Williams (21 kills) and Emily Welch (19) carried a majority of the offensive load for the Titans.

Hartington Cedar Catholic faces off with No. 1 Superior at 3 p.m. in one of the C2 semifinals.
