The town of Hastings isn't just home to the defending NAIA national champs in Hastings College, but just down the road Hastings High is starting to make some noise in class B. The Tigers won 12 of their first 14 games.

They're ranked in the top 10 in class B, and surprisingly for a talented team such as this, there are no seniors on the rosters.

That hasn't slowed them down. They've taken the court with five Juniors, eight Sophomores, and one Freshmen, Setting the bar higher than their coach ever expected.

"Crazy thing is I coached college for five years and this is my 23rd year as a head coach and I've never in all my years in three high schools and college I've never had a team with no seniors at all," said head coach David Hepner. " It's a little disappointing cause you want your seniors to be out. But honestly these young girls have stepped up early and it was pretty obvious that they were going to be the ones playing. It's kind of good for them being young and it's really exciting to know were ahead of where we'd thought we'd be right now and with a whole year to go I think the sky's the limit for these guys so it's a lot of fun."
