After narrowly edging past Creighton Prep in the first round of the State Soccer Tournament, Kearney High faced an even bigger opponent in the semi–finals taking on number one seeded Omaha South.

The Bearcats going for their first state championship appearance since 2009, while Omaha South hasn't been since winning it all in 2016.

1st half, Packers knocking on the door outside the box, pass it to Mid–fielder Marc Salas Santana, he boots to the left, but gets rejected by Jacob Hardy with a great save.

Inside the 38th minute, Kearney now on the attack with Anthony Faz going for a shot, stopped by Omaha South but in comes Royce Austen to put it in the back of the net.

That would be all the Bearcats needed to run away with the win 1–0. They'll now face Westside Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. for the state title.
