ASHLAND, Neb. -- Only once, 1987, has Ord high school won twice in the same postseason.
This year marks the second time, as the Chanticleers demolished Ashland-Greenwood, 42-7, in a road victory of the C1 quarterfinals.
The Chants scored 21 points in the first quarter of play and led by 14. They added two more touchdowns in the second quarter and held the Bluejays scoreless to take a 35-7 lead into the intermission.
Ord, ranked No. 3, is moving on to the C1 semifinals where they will face No. 7 Bishop Neumann. The Cavaliers pulled a big upset of No. 2 Pierce in the final seconds.
