Pleasanton continues winning streak in quarterfinal sweep
The Pleasanton volleyball team earned a three-set victory over No. 5 Nebraska Christian (-17, -15, -16) Thursday afternoon.
With the victory, the No. 4 Bulldogs increased its win streak to 21 matches.
Sophomore Katelyn Lindner was the bell cow for Pleasanton with a match-leading 12 kills and another high of three blocks.
Fellow sophs Kaci Pierce (seven) and Isabelle Paitz (six) combined for another 13 point-worthy spikes as the Bulldogs improved to 32-2 on the season.
The Pleasanton crew held the Eagles to 19 kills in the match.
Nebraska Christian had 11 kills from Grace Langemeier, which was three more than the rest of her team combined.
Pleasanton moves on to face No. 1 Archbishop Bergan in the Nebraska D1 state semifinal on the south court at Pinnacle Bank Arena starting at 9 a.m.
